Spritz and Pyro Fractal Burned Monkeypod Live Edge Small Board
Our first 10,000 V fractal burned, exotic wood! (SOLD)
This 27" × 11" × 2" board is filled with the Green Apple mica powder from Black Diamond Pigments [pictured above.] Then, we'll coat the top and sides, preserving the colors and electric branches in high-grade epoxy resin, which is safe for food post the mandatory 24 hour curing time.
The monkeypod is a very warm-toned wood with the center vibrant like a deep cherry and the edges lighter like pine. It's a medium-hardwood that we were so excited to test as a possible burning medium and it took us about 4 hours to fractal burn... SUCCESSFULLY!

All items are handmade in our shop, which means that every piece we build is its own, unique creation. Burning with electricity creates something unique every time, so every piece is truly one-of-a-kind. As we work with wood and resin, our pieces can take up to 2 weeks to craft, due to curing times, weather delays, etc..

DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME! This is an extremely dangerous technique and is only handled with professional safety in mind. This is something that we’ve researched diligently and practice in a well-ventilated, spacious environment. Fractal burning is a technique deemed too dangerous to be recognized by a few associations within the industry and we cannot comfortably recommend trying this, so we are here to build it for you!
Care Instructions
For our Live Edge Boards, they can be hand-washed with a non-abrasive cleaner, soap and water. Non-ammonia glass cleaners are also an option for cleaning in between uses. Never wash through a machine. These tops are best for presentations and should not be cut with a metal knife, which can create imperfections. NO sharp utensils, but butter/cheese knives are safer

NO abrasive cleaners. After food use, only warm water and soap are needed, paired with a sponge or cloth.

If your piece is resting and you'd like to bring the shine back after dusting, use a non-ammonia glass cleaner with microfiber! It'll be sparkling like new.
